Background
During the final year of our visual communication studies at Wizo Haifa, under the mentorship of Tom Bar Gal, our product design course presented an exciting challenge. Tasked with selecting an established SaaS company, embrace its design system, and leverage it to address a pressing social issue with a user-centric approach.
Choosing Tranch, a dynamic finance and payments platform, our objective was clear: to harness its capabilities for social good. Inspired by its potential, we sought to bridge the gap between ambitious entrepreneurs and socially-conscious investors, aiming to catalyse positive change in our community.
This endeavor exemplifies our commitment to merging design expertise with social responsibility, creating tangible solutions that transcend conventional boundaries and foster positive change.
The Problem
Social entrepreneurs struggle to secure funding due to the lack of a platform for promoting their initiatives. Simultaneously, investors seeking impactful projects face difficulty in finding suitable opportunities. Bridging this gap is crucial for facilitating collaboration and driving societal change.
The Solution
A SaaS platform facilitates social entrepreneurs in promoting their initiatives, thereby connecting them with potential investors. Through this platform, social entrepreneurs can showcase their projects and attract investors who share their vision and values. Investors, in turn, have access to a curated selection of social initiatives, allowing them to invest in causes they genuinely believe in, fostering impactful change in society.
