Project Overview
Background
The Yellow Submarine is a prominent music venue and cultural centre based in Jerusalem. It serves as a hub for musicians and music enthusiasts, offering a space for live performances, rehearsals, and recordings.
The Problem
Communication with the Yellow Submarine team currently occurs through various channels such as emails, messages, and phone calls. This fragmented approach leads to numerous issues, including execution delays, rehearsal room scheduling conflicts, and difficulties in managing and organizing information, ultimately causing increased workload and disorder.
The Solution
A user-friendly application for both artists and bands, as well as the Yellow Submarine team, can facilitate quick bookings for rehearsal, practice and recording venues, secure payments, and gig registration. The app will streamline communication and consolidate all information in one place for the team.
Market Research
We conducted a comprehensive competitor research to understand the strengths and weaknesses of other platforms offering similar services. This analysis aimed to identify key areas for improvement and innovation on our platform, ensuring that we provide the best possible solutions for our users.
Uniqueness The Yellow Submarine stands out by offering both rehearsal spaces and recording studios, a unique feature compared to its competitors.
Information Access Competitors require direct human contact to provide detailed information about their services, indicating a lack of readily accessible information.
App Availability Except for Zappa, none of the competitors have a dedicated app.
User Research
We conducted interviews with both artists and the Yellow Submarine team to identify communication challenges and organizational difficulties. By understanding their perspectives, we aimed to develop solutions that addressed these issues and met user needs effectively.
Pain points
Fragmented communication: The Yellow Submarine team uses multiple communication channels (email, phone, messages...) leading to stress, chaos, and the risk of important messages going to spam.
Inefficient booking process: The current registration process for rehearsal rooms is unorganized and not streamlined on the website, causing inconvenience and confusion for users.
Unclear selection process: The selection process for performances lacks an official system, requiring manual submission of materials and experience details to the relevant staff, resulting in inefficiency and potential delays.
Main Goal
